She wanted to live. Not just survive, but every cell in her body wanted to live and enjoy and be happy. She wanted to get up and do all of the things that people took for granted everyday.
It was impossible. Nina's days were now spent in a candlelit bedroom with two crazy women. Rai, the crazier of the two, kept threatening to cut off more pieces of her. They wanted to hear screams. They wanted her to beg, and apologize, but that just wasn't happening.
Her two captors picked her up one day, threw her in the car, and dumped her on the side of the road. They told her that she was useless, boring, and that they needed a new toy. Neither of them worried that Nina would get away and talk to anyone. She seemed half dead and was missing several parts.
Once they were gone, she struggled and crawled, trying to find the way out of the ditch and to a phone so that she could call for help.
